For Proof of Attendance

If you are required to attend A.A. meetings, you will undoubtedly be asked to provide confirmation of your attendance. No problem; we’re used to this.

It’s up to each meeting whether they will sign verification papers; most meetings do. This office doesn’t sign papers, because we can’t confirm you were there.

At in-person meetings, place your attendance verification paper in the 7th Tradition basket when it’s passed around for contributions, and pick up your signed paper when the meeting is over.

If you attend an online meeting, arrive a few minutes early. Engage the secretary or host and ask for assistance. Or, click the chat box at the bottom of your screen. Locate a “host” on the participants’ list and send him/her a private message asking for attendance verification. Include your name and email address so they can privately send it to you after the meeting. You don’t have to participate, but keep your camera on so they know you’re there. Note: You must attend the entire meeting.

That’s it! You don’t need to pay anything or say anything, including your name, during the meeting. Good luck!
