Volunteer Coordinator

The Volunteer Coordinator recruits, trains, and schedules volunteers for the Oahu Central Office and After-hours Phone Angels Helpline. In this crucial role, the coordinator manages the 24-hour help-line, ensuring that there is always someone answering calls from suffering alcoholics and members of the fellowship. He or she schedules volunteers according to four-hour (daytime, in office) or six-hour (remotely on their own phones, after office hours) shifts. Requirements: Two years of sobriety, flexible hours.

Vice-Chair

The Vice Chair performs the Chair’s duties when they are absent. In addition, the VC will plan and manage occasional activities/events for bonding among the fellowship and/or education about the AA program. They will propose a budget for the event, recruit activity/event chairs, and secure a venue and liability insurance for the event. They will also serve as a member or chair on (temporary) ad hoc committees to address specific issues.  Requirements: Two years sobriety, organizational skills
